Some hidden truths excavated by GOKUL in ANBE SIVAM

For those who don't know about Anbe sivam, it may sound something like Harappa or Mohenjodaro. This is a tamil film which stars Kamal hassan,Madhavan,Nasser,Kiran...

Those who haven't relished the film with full thirst or hunger, please do that and then read further. I accept this blog is not worth enough to watch a movie and then to read. But that movie is worth enough to watch than your normal activities.

Now, for a simple recap. In the movie Kamal's full name is "Nalla sivam" and Kiran's name is "Bala saraswathi". The film starts with the current date and at time goes flashback.Kamal loves kiran in the flashback and madhavan is supposed to be married with Kiran in the current time(With her acceptance for the same).Three quater of the movie moves around scenes involving madhavan and kamal.

With so much hype, i come to my findings.Kamal calls kiran as"Bala" while kiran and kamal's communist friends calls him "Nalla".Madhavan calls Kamal as "Sivam" and kiran as "Saras". It may look just names. Inga thaan nikkaran Ammapettai appasamy pannerselvam Gokul.
Now look carefully,Kamal is the one who teaches madhavan about (the film's theme) "Love is god". So, madhavan calls him Sivam. Kiran and other communist friends know about him very personally (Avar romba nallavaru, vallavaru nnu). So, they call kamal "Nalla".
Again, the love between kamal and kiran is pure (or deiveegamanthu in terms of kadhir or murali) . So, kamal calls kiran "Bala". Bala means "baby". The affection that kamal has on kiran is that of a mother having on her child. Meanwhile, Madhavan without knowing anything about kiran marries her in a normal indian tradition whose obvious target is to multiply the generation (Kulam perukkuthal) which is obviously done by sex. Hence Madhavan calls her "Saras". Sarasam, the full form of saras means sex("Koodal","Kaamam").
When i narrated these findings to my close friends, he asked me " How did you find it out ?". I replies like Santhana bharathy in Anbe sivam " Naan atha appdi ye paathukitte irunthena , then i found it out.". But he commented " Even kamal wouldn't have thought about these names so deeply.

Good bye DADA

Wait, Wait, read the blog fully. It is not a sympathy spreading or Nyayam seeking fight against the exclusion and bad discipline shown towards DADA.When he was selected for the pak tour and srilanka tour , his supporters felt that he will bounce back to earn a place. But the scores that he scored were not enough.
It is time for that man to say good bye cricket, Sona chandi, Tata indicom ( He wouldn't be considered for these anymore). Well, life has not doomed for him anyway. He can still start a cricket academy and develop many bengali cricketers (Pure cricketers , with no hinge of politics).
The support that he gets from his hometown is amazing. He has been selected as the Sera Bangalee (famous bengalee). The others conteders for the same included Nobel laureate Amarthya sen and West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee.(Courtesy:NDTV)
I doubt whether any Indain cricketer has got an equally famous exit.

Are girls really mean or is it just my perception

Many take resolutions in the so-called OLD year for the forthcoming new year. Well, now that i'm in BP(Bench project), I've already made 5 resolutions. Four of them are useless (Something like Adhering to office timings, to enter the worked hours properly in the time sheet). The main resolution which i was very adamant is the fifth one.(By this order of describing it may be the fifth one. But by my own order it remained, remains, would remain as my first one). That is to maintain an ultimate rapport with girls or atleast to show the outer world that i'm easily adherent towards girls.

If you had seen me personally or my photographs, you would not be in a difficult position to find why i'm so worried, anxious. Like all normal guys, i entered my college compound aspiring to become like Mike murali(An actor whose almost all films has songs where he sings on stages with a mike) or Mike mohan(Another actor of the same cadre). Hey hey hey., stop it. I'm not that sort of guy who aspire for stage mikes. Apart from mikes, these two had something else in common. True, pure, divine Love. Yes, i dreamed about loving atleast some three girls and then continue any one of it throughout my lifetime. (Ooh! What an ambition !!)

Few of my friends know about my ambition. But many don't know that i'm still dreaming that dream. This is the flash-back for my so-called ambition. I spent the four years in my college in search of a good figure and to impress them. Those who are my college mates knew that the first part of the mission is more tedious. Having tasted some ounces of success in the first part of the mission, i tried my best to attain the same in the second part. Adang***a! It was not as easy as i thought.

"Nallaa kasunguna sattaya kooda press pannidalam
Aana mokkai figure a kooda impress panna mudiyathu"

I started doing that from third year. I had a poor friend who sits with me ( "I sit with him" will be appropriate and the adjective POOR came to him exactly after i sat with him). There was a mokkai figure in my class. Ofcourse everyone were the same. I tried to impress one among them(Surely not the best among them). O**a, Enna scene viduva da ? My friends had a slight feeling that i have/had(don't know which one fits here) a good sense of humour. I started trying jokes with that girl. She laughed in front of me. "Mission going good".But later from my girl friend(a friend who turned out to be a girl.Nothing else) told me that she makes a mockery of me to her other friends that i try to impress her. I couldn't tolerate that. I, with some other men formed a grouped which was named as AGC(Anti-Girls Campaign). It was the turning point in my boyish life.It was the twist that you were all expecting in my tale.(Ok.. Ok.. I accept it is a slight over-buildup). That was the real period which i really loved.Teasing someone who show off themselves to be intelligent will give you the ultimate pleasure.I got the same when i teased girls.Apart from that incident, there was nothing that i could correlate my college life with girls.

Later after a many googles, i found a job. Like most of the s/w job aspirers, i again fell in the silly trap of life. I started going behind the girls for the second time in my life. (Believe me, this was only the second time. In primary schools, they were my villains as they were the reasons for my dad's scoldings and i had a tough competition with girls in studies.),Nothing noteable happened here.

Here are my findings and complaints why i don't feel girls are a good species to be friends with.

1) They unneccesarily adjust their pallu or their kameez when a conversation nothing related to those two in going on.Doesn't that sound insulting ? Do i look like a normal road-side loafer. Do we ever adjust our zippers during the conversations?
2) They maintain a distance when we kep quiet and when we become talkative towards them, then a new joker is born whom they think to be waste of a birth in this earth.
3) They crack really stupid jokes that they expect me to laugh. I really couldn't get that how other guys can laugh for those so called jokes.
4) They switch topics unneccesarily to show off themselves.
  • Why do they talk about their heroics with their bunch of boy-friends when i'm asking them a doubt in ASP ?
  • Why do they talk about their foreign tours that happened years back when i ask them "How are you "?

5) Why are they so mean that they have nothing else in their life excepting for money and money and money?

6) Why do they all act to be afraid and insecure when they mistake in their project knowing that for sure that their PM or colleague never minds them at all ?

7) Why the hell do they talk always either through their mobile or through the office phones ?

I thought of disclaiming that i'm sorry if i've hurt anybody's feelings and my intentions were not those. But to be true, i've always thought that disclaiming is the best way to show what your claim is. Seeing my complaints and findings, i understand what a stranger should think about me. Let me clarify that i'm not a sort of a guy who goes on a killing spree towards girls or a male chavinist or someone who hates girls just by sight.I do have a good rapport with a good set of girls. Also, this is not just a bunch of complaints on the species i hate and it is a report of findings on the same.

Girls are always girls.

Are the protests by CPI worthful and fruitful ?

If you are from kolkatta, i know exactly after seeing the blog heading, you will check out my profile and sue me for such an outrageous discussion. Well, i sincerely disclaim that all the material in this whole blog is to see my own thoughts as scriblings through my own naked eye and sincerely not to hurt anyone's feelings.

Today, when i was waiting for my friend to pick me , i saw in a MTC bus some protesting slogans against (Please don't laugh) America. I'm not a kind who use only tommy hilfiger brands and i swear that i don't belong to the category "Who cares for this nation?". The placard on the bus read as " Hey , america ! Stop pestering with india. Stop your monopoly towards Afghan and syria.Pull back all your investments from India and let the poor Indian small scale industrialists live". Forget the truth or sanity in the protesting statements. How do you expect Bush or Rice to view your(A true Indian's) view on their diplomacies towards the world. Why don;t you dare to paste the same placards outside American embassy and protest there?

Ya, i forgot to tell you something. The slogan was not on behalf of CPI or any other leftist party. It was a student's federation(I'm not quite sure about the union's abbrevation or it's fame across the state).I can hear from my dear Marx, then why the hell did you pull CPI inside. Well, it was YOU who brought this protesting culture inside tamilnadu.(Have a look at my disclaimer again).

It was YOU who fought against globalisation and whichever party comes to the rule, whether or not you have an alliance with the party, you are the fiend to the finance minister. What is you problem in the increase of FDI, whether it is telecom or banking ?Do you know how much Indian government spend on a minister's yearly telephone bills ? Though i do not know the exact amount, it is nothing less than 10-15 lakhs. We know that your ministers do not follow that. They are too good for this nation that they spend a part of their salary to the party's fund. Why do you always fight against any investment from U.S and why do you disturb honourable P.M's decision taking capabilities in crunch situations like Iran's fate in IEAE? We are not the same stupids and dependents as those lived in late 1800s to leave another East-India company acquire India.

There are enough problems inside each state and each thaluk for you to fight.First as a matter of fact, do not choose a party that is best among the worst. Stand for an alliance that will fight for corruption and other evils at all levels. If you can not make it this time , wait for the next election. Rememeber yaar,None of the Picasso's painitings were sold when he lived. One day or other, people will come out of the dravidian "Cult screen" (Maaya thirai).Make an impact in the people's mindset that you do not envy on their luxury living but you truly are supporting their fight against social evils.

You were the party that brought the concept of forming an union that fights for the welfare of fellow workers and for fighting against bias or irregularities in the top management. My left hand fingers are enough to count the number of unions headed by YOU in tamilnadu.(almost in whole South India, I beleive). What we witness as irregulaties is harassment of the workers using the tie-up of the local police with the top management of the industry. How many unions are headed by a leader who fasts for to fight against those irregularities? And your recent reasons for protesting are too good. One of them being need for a union in software firms.

Rang de Basanti- No justification nor denial-Just a review

The hype and electric drama that Aamir khan's films create can never match to even south India Mass heroes. And the beauty in Rand de basanti is he has not played any lead role in the movie. He is just a part of the cast crew that worked for this film.

As it is not a Hitchcock sort of movie, i think i can leak out the story line of the movie. It starts with SUE, an American director (i suppose so., though I do not know exactly those terminologies) who is by fortune the jailer's grand-daughter who witnessed four freedom fighters life in the prison to their hanging. She goes through his grandfather's diary and gets an aspiring idea to direct a documentary on that. But the company rejects the proposal with the golden word BUDGET. She quits her company and head to India. There were claps and whistles when she answers her boss' question “How will you shoot?" with " Tere Maa ki Aakh se". (Good punch dialogue.)

She meets her friend and she introduces Sue to her friends who do their studies in International School of studies. What a hostel room they provide there yaar? Then comes her audition where she couldn't even selected one. Then she decides to make the aamir khan, Siddharth & co (Sorry, i don't know their exact names) to act in her film. Then joins Atul kulkarni who is a worker in a national party.(They could've named it as BJP. How many coincidences? Modi,Saffron color.)With many differences of opinion of true patriotism, they start acting. Then joins the party, Madhavan who is a famed air-force pilot. She married Sue's friend and when Sue’s shooting is about to end, a disaster happens and the story actually starts from here. Like the freedom fighters who fought for mother India’s freedom, A GENERATION AWAKENS and the rest of the film is how they wake up and how they do their natur(e)al calls (from their heart).

There has been N number of patriotic stories in Indian cinemas (Where n-> infinity) and there has been N number of Gen-X films ( Where N -> > 50), but has there been a film that correlates these two. If at all there were some movies, their coefficient would have been very weak. Take for example the recent Mani ratnam's movie-Ayutha ezhuthu(or)Yuva. One dimension shows the Gen-X guy Siddharth. Here in RDB,the full dimension is towards that generation and how they react to the injustice caused by the power that cannot be fought with so easily.

The film actually has all aspects that will pull criticism and condemnation. (A caricature clone of Jaswant singh is the defense minister and he has done some scam in defense deals with Russia and there is another man who can be easily claimed to be Modi's nehew whose party worker shouts at a Muslim, "Pakistani").But that is not the real reason that makes the screenplay powerful. The real reason is the passion when it comes to each of the character and the way it is portrayed. Even when portraying "Do nothing! Enjoy" group, the passion remains the same and Mr.Rehman has given awesome support to the director.

Aamir khan is by no doubt a simile for Mr.kamal hassan(Note here, I’m not wedging any superiority theory here). Be it growing hair and moustache for almost 15 months or be it the way he speaks punjabi, he is occupying the 70 mm with full presence. Siddharth's role as a Gen-X guy shouldn't be new to him as his personality has been sculptured for the same , but the role of Bhagat singh, even with the screwed mouthstache, well., Was bhagat singh so childish? Madhavan has done his best for the cameo role he has been provided. Atul kulkarni remembers me the "Enn uyir tholan" lead role.Om puri, Anupham kher,The foreigner,Aamir's other friends have all fit themselves easily into their roles.

The crew behind the screens has also provided their best. Be it the editor who has made the transitions easy from real life time to the freedom struggle period or be it the camera man on shots which revolves around the cave where the freedom fighters assemble or be it the art director for the train robbery in the freedom struggle period and the light settings inside the jail, everyone has just added their true work though it is not visible to naked eye. Of course, it is always the managers who win the accolades when it comes to a project success.

A.R.rehman has again proved his reasons for acceptance towards specific films are legitimate (except for his acceptance for Ah..Aah). How many of you has listened to a BGM of hard rock guitars when the freedom fighters, patriots are hanged.Pure passion of music throughout the film. The song in the Golden temple, amristar makes you to search for punjabi real folk songs and download them.

Coming to the real story line, i can hear skeptic remarks like "How can they openly say that laying hands on the arms (weapons) is the only way to fight against corruption and other evils?”. At this point of time all we need in media (be it of any size) is openness. Forget the justification or the denial of the facts told in a movie."A writer's duty is to only state the problem, it’s causes and it's after-effects. He has nothing to do with the problem's solution" says Jeyakanthan, the gnanpith winner. Almost in all movies when hero or a lead character take up arms to fight the society evils, the film will portray another character which states “What are Law and Police for ?" This is missing in RDB and that boldness makes the film a real tribute to the bunch of freedom fighters, the film drools upon.

Anyway, never got a chance to mention this tag line of the film. So, I finish this review with that. "No nation is perfect. It is up to it's residents to make it. Don't say you can’t. Become an IAS,IPS or a politician to fight against the society evils."

Am i passionate towards this job?

After i finished this article from my friends blogsite , and more specifically i read the comment from my friend, my heart shouts at "Are you Nuts ?" volume "Are you passionate towards the job you do here?". I need not answer this. My floor maintainence friend who salaams me daily can give you four options. a) No b) No c) No d) No.
I have been answering and soothing myself that this is due to the work i do(testing & not development) , because i'm not yet considered to be worthful to be sent onsite, because i'm not getting the package my friends get in some other MNCs. Is it true my dear heart? Hey where are you? Ooh! Stop imagining about quitting this, going out and live the life that i want to live. What do i know ?
Can i not survive in this city? Of course, i can. I will fight to win my place or make my mark in the field that i'm really PASSIONATE.But, the tricky question here is " Can i fight my society?". The society that here i mean is my poor mom's family friends who have the authority to change her decisions. They have suceeded in almost everytime they play their game.
I understand that their victories or losses is upto me or atleast to accept it as victory or a loss.
If i win in a few iterations, the society will raise and praise me with loving hugs. But the Else part is not equally good. I know that the number of iterations will be more and my probablity of winning in those will not be zero ( if i can't make it 1.)
Is it not the time to treat my heart and it's feelings that has lead to me in crunch situations ? Hey, where are you ? Oooh, stop dreaming.

Media tycoons- Is there no way to fight back ?

Almost in two to four of the sheldon novels, there has been characterisitics who are media tycoons. The best part is that the tycoon will form within days or months (just like how Tamil heroes become a big shot within a song - Annamalai,Padaiyappa,Boys...). I surely belong to the group who watch the whole film like NEW and then come out saying it is a sexualy luring, absurd stupid movie. It was in the same way i found out those novels. They were Page turners in my college days and they were the only solutions for me to be awake in some astonishingly interesting classes like AI.
But today here in tamilnadu,i see real media tycoons. They are so powerfull that even literates cannot escape from their blundering findings and illogical conclusions from a happening. If you live in tamilnadu, you should've found what it is in less than 5 seconds and if you are in some other TN cities, you should find it in less than 6 seconds.
Recently, when the elections were translucently visible and when the SS music was doing good in south india songs, SCV was suddenly changed into Sun music and it was filled with stupid tanglish specking comperes and another music channel arose in Malayalam and telugu named Kiran and Adithya respectively which ofcourse relayed the old days serials from the Sun tv. Their authority over the music media was again reinstated.
There was no bad damage here as it affected only the true music lovers who loved SCV just because it relayed only music without any polish or molish. The damage for the tamil media arouse soon by the arrival of a new evening weekly named "Tamil murasu". From the word murasu and tamil you should've found which party this weekly belonged to.They came with astonishing attractions just like it's big brother Kungumam( Which again was launched all of a sudden with Kalaignanr's "Nenjukku needhi" being the main article.) like free toothpaste, washing scrubber, pickles...They made if not a mark atleast a part of it by this.
Just like viruses/worms/Trojan horses , they started showing their real faces once they made their mark. They made sure that nobody talked ill about them and if someone dared so they saw to that their whole family is potrayed as the one responsible for the starting of world-war 1 as well as 2.The worst part was the headlines that were of the font size 12-18 and doubly bolded (So that none of the pedatrians miss that) were always stupid. When i say stupid, i mean it. Here is a list of examples.
Simbhuvikku adi,udhai-T.nagaril paraparppu -- (Simbhu hit badly- Tension in T.nagar)
Adhivaasi pengalai mayaki Blue film -- ( Blue film made by sedating tribe women)
The list can go still further givent that the blog readers are adaptable towards unprintable words.
The above may seem to target specifically a sect popularily known as D.M.K. The counterparts are not at all weak to this sect. Though they do not have any other media other than Jaya T.V , they merry with only that. If you are bored on solving the Infosys puzzles or cracking the Davinci code, watch the Jaya News at 7:30 P.M and the Sun-news at 8 P.M and find the real news that actually happened.I will sponsor your whole trip for the rest of the cricket world cups.
The still bad part is that the decently unbiased tamil news was available in Raj T.V and Vijay T.V which was stopped suddenly for reasons that only Sivaji-THE BOSS will know.

After all these coverage through my best media- my sixth sense, i have a question. Is proper and real education the only full time solution for people to identify the money-makers from the real news channels or just like justice, should media made independent of the government and all the news should be delivered just like DD news in all regional languages?
